About Ostor Consulting
Ostor Consulting is the independent practice of Faraz Mohseni, a researcher and consultant working at the intersection of machine learning, mathematical finance, and risk.
Faraz has published original research in quantitative and behavioral finance and designed adversarial data for frontier AI labs, building data and workflows that test and improve advanced reasoning models. His research focus is narrative economics: measuring how the composition of economic narratives relates to market risk and comovement.
He holds degrees in Computer Science (Honors) and Mathematics from the University of Arizona. He brings a background spanning machine learning, NLP, asset pricing, and portfolio theory.
The practice is based in Burnaby, British Columbia, and serves clients across Metro Vancouver and internationally, remote-first, with in-person availability in the Vancouver area.
